Members of the Thomas Risley church lead and support a range of regular weekly, bi-weekly and monthly groups plus host some wonderful seasonal one-off events for all ages across our community.

Weekly Prayer meeting
Join our weekly prayer meeting, Monday 7pm – 7:30pm via the below Zoom link.
Bible Study
Want to learn more about faith, in a friendly, relaxed and fun environment?

Tommy Tots
Wednesdays – 9am – 11:30am
Tommy Tots meets every week in term time for parents and carers of children under five. We are very busy making crafts, playing together, singing and eating snacks.
Wednesday Club
Fortnightly 2pm – 3.30pm
A time to chat and share with other local people. All 55+
TReats
Thursdays – 8:45am – 11:30am
Supported by Thomas Risley church members, meet friends and family for a catch up with a coffee and TReat in our relaxed church setting.
Coffee and Crafts
Tuesdays: 10am – 12pm
We meet fortnightly where you can bring along your crafts and have a brew and a natter. You can share your experience, ask for advice or simply enjoy the company.
Messy Church
Wednesday 20th August: 10am – 12pm
Our monthly Messy Church is about having time together to have fun, explore faith, worship God and share some food. Everyone is welcome at Messy Church.

Saturdays

Toy Sunday – 23rd November
Sunday 23rd November will be our annual Toy Sunday. Please contribute a new Family Game and/or a Selection Box. Please don’t wrap your gifts, they will be bagged up and passed on to Locking Stumps Primary School, where they will be given to families in need.
We’ve done this for a few years now and the feedback from the school is incredibly positive. You can either donate individually or get together with a friend and share the cost. Either way, it makes a real difference to the children.
Praise Service
Join us for our next Praise Service in church, where we will sing some old favourites, some Christmas songs, old and new, as well as a couple of the new songs that were the most popular at September’s service..
An informal worship time, in a relaxed atmosphere, with tea and coffee available. Everyone and all ages welcome.

Harvest Festival
On Sunday 19th October, we will be collecting tinned and dried food for local people in need.
As in previous years, this will be shared by homeless charity, Room at the Inn, and the Food Bank at The Table in Oakwood. Thank you for your generosity.
Harvest Supper and Quiz – 18th October
We will be holding our annual Harvest Supper and Quiz night, in church, on Saturday 18th October, at 5:00 pm.
This is always a popular evening. Please add your name to the list on the notice board in the foyer, together with numbers and dietary requirements.

Join us online for this four week course. We offer you tools and and skills to equip you to share your faith with your grandchildren.

Did you join us in Forest Park? We wandered and wondered our way through the story of Palm Sunday.
Celebration Service and picnic
Church members, friends and family came together on the 12th September to celebrate the return to ‘normal’ for church services. The service was followed by a picnic on the playing field and enjoyed by all. Thanks for joining us.
