Do you want to see a little of what happened at Easter at Thomas Risley? If so read on.....

Maundy Thursday

The evening started with an intimate communion service. After we had heard a little of the story of the "Last Supper", Robbie and Sally offered to wash the feet of those present which helped us to focus on what would have been happening in that upstairs room with Jesus and his disciples.

Following communion the church stayed open for anyone to spend some time in prayer with God (and at the time of writing - 9:25 on Good Friday morning - is still open untill the service at 10:30). The prayer room was set up with many fantastic interactive displays, each one designed to focus our minds on a different aspect prayer and relationship with God. The slideshow below show a few photos taken in the prayer room but as always to get the full effect, a personal visit is recommended.

Good Friday

We had a very moving service followed by a walk to Birchwood Mall carrying a wooden cross. The turn out was amazing.

Watch and listen to a bit of live worship from the Mall. If I do say so myself, we sound great!
