The biq question is – what is it all about?
The format is simple. Every "Fifth Sunday"
1) The evening will start at 18:00 and end at 19:00 with
prayer - and there may well be some in the middle too.
2) The songs will be chosen in advance so people you can come
knowing pretty much exactly what will happen.
3) At the next event (31/01/10) everyone will be encouraged
to submit song choices beforehand so they can be included.
4) Music will be based around the existing Music Team but an
open invitation will be repeated again and again for people to join in singing
and playing.
5) There will be an open microphone policy so you can get up,
come to the front, and join in leading worship.
6) Whilst the music part of the evening will start at 18:00
and finish at 19:00 people can come and go as they please.
7) Each evening will be followed by food of some sort,
simple, snacky and sometimes hot (hot dogs on the 29th November).
8) We are expecting to have vacated the premises by 19:45,
in time for the X Factor results!!!!!
9) This is a 'scheduled service' and will take place
for the enrichment of those who wish to join in - no matter how many that is.
10) The event will be advertised everywhere we can and will
act as a vehicle to allow young and old to experience leading worship
irrespective of whether they're as brilliant as David or as rubbish as Bryan!!!!
